The upcoming trade mission to Sierra Leone, offers a unique chance for diamond and jewellery trade members to engage with the artisanal digger community. Gain insights into their challenges and explore sustainable economic development opportunities.
Highlights include visits to the Peace Diamond Village, artisanal digger sites, land reclamation, and agricultural development locations. Three days will be spent in the Kono district, with an additional two days in Freetown meeting business leaders.
Rapaport will manage all ground arrangements, covering lodging, food, transportation, and security.
Limited to 30 participants, the mission runs from November 10 to 15, 2024 , and costs $3,500 per person.
An optional weekend extension is available for an additional $950.

A 4-star hotel in Freetown and a 3-star lodge in Kono. The official program concludes after Friday’s breakfast.
Participants are responsible for all travel costs to and from Sierra Leone as well as the cost of Visa, Yellow Fever vaccination and malaria medication. The Rapaport team is available to assist participants with travel, visa, vaccination, and other requirements.
Due to limited air travel to Sierra Leone, accepted participants should contact their travel agent immediately to ensure arrival by Sunday, Apr 7. Rapaport representatives will meet participants at the airport upon arrival and see them off at departure.
